At the 61st All Japan Model Hobby Show, Kyosho finally announced the MINI-Z MR-04EVO2! The first full model change in 14 years, it is equipped with a brushless motor equipped with a sensor, and I hear that it was very well received at the Hobby Show. I'm really looking forward to its release! !

This time, we will introduce the receiver unit for KOPROPO that is compatible with MR-04EVO2. The radio has also been upgraded to match the MR-04EVO2! Please refer to this article when using KOPROPO products.

We are planning to release the latest firmware Ver.3.00 for EX-NEXT in order to support the telemetry function and advanced mode introduced below.

 

 

[New feature: 1] Bidirectional telemetry mode

The highlight of the updated EX-NEXT is its telemetry function with the MR-04EVO2! Various setting values that have been previously set on a PC can be easily set from the radio by operating the buttons on the expansion unit, just as if changing the settings on the radio. Additionally, EX-NEXT's telemetry function can read machine information. Not only each setting value but also the machine's battery voltage can be read out in real time.

The items that can be set are as follows.

Forward Curve	Adjusting throttle response
Forward punch	Quick throttle start-up
TH Max Rev.	Limits the maximum rotation speed of the motor *1

*1 "TH Max Rev." is a race regulation-compatible function, so it can only be displayed on the radio and cannot be changed. Use manager software to change settings.

 

●Battery monitoring function

You can check the battery voltage in the chassis by telemetry function.
Also, you can set the alert voltage value and you know the real-time voltage of the battery and the voltage down alert.

 

●Able to know the number of revolutions of the motor

You will know whether this motor satisfied race regulations or not, because being able to know the number of revolutions of the motor, 

 

[New feature: 2]High speed advanced mode

Even in telemetry mode, while maintaining the conventional high-speed communication (2.5ms), you can use even faster advanced mode (0.99ms)! Advanced mode's high-speed communication increases the density of information that can be sent to the machine. You can experience the "fine and smooth handling feeling" brought about by unprecedented high-definition and high-resolution control.

When changing machine settings in advanced mode, the normal procedure is to switch to telemetry mode once and then change the settings, but with EX-NEXT, the mode automatically switches as necessary, and as soon as data is sent and received. It will also automatically return to advanced mode. It provides stress-free and seamless operability.

 

 

Function correspondence table

Telemetry function and advanced mode are compatible with EX-NEXT Ver.3.00. If you already have EX-NEXT, you can update to Ver.3.00, so there is no need to replace it. For Ver.2.xx, you can use the same functions as MR-03.

*82043/82040 receiver units can be used with MR-04EVO2, but the telemetry function and advanced mode cannot be used. Also, even if 82045 is installed in MR-03EVO, the telemetry function and advanced mode cannot be used.
